Child Safety & CSAM Policy

Zero tolerance

Imperfect Lab maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse material (CSAM), child sexual exploitation, and any content or behavior that sexualizes, exploits, abuses, or endangers minors.

Our products and services are strictly intended for adults aged 18 and over.

Anyone under the age of 18 is prohibited from creating an account, accessing, or using our companion platforms.

Protecting minors is a fundamental part of how we design, operate, and moderate our products.

What we prohibit

For the purposes of this policy, a minor is any person under the age of 18.

We strictly prohibit any content or activity that sexually exploits, sexualizes, depicts the sexual abuse of, or otherwise sexually endangers a minor.

This prohibition applies regardless of whether the content is real or synthetic.

It includes, but is not limited to:

• Photographs, videos, audio, or other media involving the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors.
• AI-generated, computer-generated, fictional, illustrated, animated, or otherwise synthetic sexual content depicting or representing minors.
• Content that depicts, describes, promotes, glorifies, encourages, facilitates, or normalizes the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors.
• Sexualized representations of minors, including realistic or fictional representations.
• Attempts to create, request, generate, upload, share, sell, purchase, exchange, or distribute CSAM or other prohibited sexual content involving minors.
• Using our AI systems, prompts, conversations, requests, or other product features to generate or attempt to generate prohibited sexual content involving minors.
• Grooming, sexual solicitation, sextortion, trafficking, or other forms of sexual exploitation involving minors.
• Attempts to use our products to contact or facilitate inappropriate sexual interaction with a minor.

These restrictions apply across all areas of our products, including profiles, usernames, biographies, messages, chats, prompts, comments, images, videos, audio, live interactions, uploaded media, AI-generated media, and any other user-generated or generated content.

AI-generated content

Our rules apply equally to synthetic content.

Artificial intelligence does not change our standards for child safety.

Content does not need to depict a real child to violate this policy.

Any sexually explicit or exploitative representation of a minor, whether real, fictional, illustrated, animated, AI-generated, computer-generated, or otherwise synthetic, is prohibited on our platforms.

Users may not use our AI systems to generate, attempt to generate, request, or facilitate such content.

Attempts to circumvent safeguards designed to prevent the generation of prohibited content may result in immediate enforcement action.

Adults only

Our companion platforms are strictly 18+.

Imperfect Lab's companion products are designed exclusively for adults.

Anyone under 18 is strictly prohibited from creating an account, accessing, or using these services.

We use age-gating and other age assurance measures designed to prevent minors from accessing our adult-oriented products and continuously evaluate these safeguards as technologies, regulations, and industry standards evolve.

If we become aware that a person under 18 has created or accessed an account, we may immediately restrict access and remove the account.

Detection & Moderation

We use a combination of policies, technical safeguards, automated systems, and human review processes to identify and address content and activity that may violate this policy.

Our approach may include measures designed to:

• Detect prohibited content.
• Prevent prohibited AI generations.
• Identify suspicious behavior or attempts to circumvent safety systems.
• Review reported content and accounts.
• Prevent previously identified prohibited material from being redistributed.
• Restrict or terminate accounts associated with violations.

We continuously evaluate and improve our child-safety systems as our products and the technologies available to us evolve.

Enforcement

Violations have serious consequences.

When we identify content or behavior that violates this policy, we may take immediate action.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include:

• Blocking or removing content.
• Preventing content from being generated or distributed.
• Suspending or permanently terminating accounts.
• Restricting access to our products and services.
• Preserving relevant information where legally required.
• Reporting apparent CSAM or suspected child sexual exploitation to appropriate authorities or designated reporting organizations where required or appropriate.
• Cooperating with lawful investigations and valid requests from law enforcement.

Serious violations may result in permanent removal from our platforms without prior warning.

Reporting child sexual exploitation

Anyone can report a concern.

If you encounter content or behavior on one of our platforms that you believe involves the sexual exploitation or abuse of a minor, please report it immediately using our reporting tools or designated child-safety reporting channel.

You do not need to be the person depicted in the content to submit a report.

Reports involving potential child sexual exploitation are treated as a priority and reviewed in accordance with our safety procedures.

Our commitment

Technology can create extraordinary new ways for people to communicate and connect.

It also creates responsibilities.

We are committed to developing our products in a way that protects minors, prevents our technology from being used for child sexual exploitation, and responds decisively when our policies are violated.

There is no place for child sexual exploitation or abuse on any Imperfect Lab product.
