Overview

Imperfect Lab products are designed to enable personal, expressive and entertaining interactions between adults.

Some of our products may allow adult-oriented conversations and content.

With that freedom comes responsibility.

These standards explain the basic rules we expect everyone using our products to follow.

Adults only

Our companion platforms are strictly 18+.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use these services.

If you are under 18, you are not permitted to access or use our adult-oriented companion products.

Consent comes first

Adult expression requires adult consent.

Never upload, share, create or distribute intimate content involving a real person without their permission.

Never threaten someone with the release of intimate material.

Never use another person's likeness to create sexually explicit deepfake content without authorization.

Protect minors

There is zero tolerance for child sexual exploitation.

Never upload, request, generate, share or promote sexual content involving or representing anyone under 18.

This includes:

• Real content.
• AI-generated content.
• Fictional content.
• Illustrations.
• Animations.
• Synthetic media.

Attempts to circumvent our safeguards around this rule may result in immediate permanent removal.

Real people should be real

If an account or profile represents a real person, it must not intentionally deceive users about that person's identity.

Do not impersonate someone else.

Do not steal another creator's identity or content.

Do not pretend an AI personality is a real human creator.

AI should be AI

AI personalities are part of the experiences we create.

They should remain identifiable as AI.

AI can be imaginative, expressive and immersive without misleading users into believing an artificial personality is a real person.

Respect privacy

Don't share another person's private or sensitive information without permission.

Don't dox, stalk or attempt to expose another user's identity.

Don't distribute private conversations or intimate content in ways that violate another person's rights.

No exploitation

Never use our products to facilitate:

• Human trafficking.
• Sexual exploitation.
• Coercion.
• Sextortion.
• Grooming.
• Fraud.
• Scams.
• Credible threats of violence.

These activities may result in immediate account termination and, where required or appropriate, referral to relevant authorities.

Respect intellectual property

Create and share content you have the right to use.

Don't steal or redistribute someone else's work without authorization.

Keep transactions on platform

Where a product provides payments, subscriptions, virtual currency, tipping or other transaction systems, use those systems in accordance with the applicable product terms.

Fraud, payment manipulation and attempts to abuse platform payment systems may result in restrictions or account termination.

Reporting

If something doesn't feel right, report it.

Our products provide tools for reporting accounts, content and interactions that may violate these standards.

Safety reports involving minors, exploitation, non-consensual intimate content or credible threats receive priority.

What happens when rules are broken?

Depending on the severity and context of a violation, we may:

• Remove content.
• Limit access to features.
• Suspend an account.
• Permanently terminate an account.
• Take additional action where required by law.

Severe violations may result in immediate permanent removal.
